On October 31, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the Holy Liturgy on the occasion of the declaration of Sainthood of Armenian Catholic Bishop and Martyr Ignatius Maloyan, at St. Mary Governoress of the World, Armenian Catholic Cathedral in Bab Touma.
His Eminence Cardinal Mario Zenari, Apostolic Nuncio in Damascus, was also present along the hierarchs of the Christian Churches in Damascus.
