On May 18, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Tristan Azbej, Hungarian State Secretary for the Aid of the Persecuted Christians, and the accompanying delegation, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma.
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem, Jordan and the Holy Land, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, Very Rev. Raban Andrawos Bahhi, Director of Youth Department, and Very Rev. Raban Augeen Al Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary were also present.
During the meeting, His Holiness discussed with His Excellency the different projects that are executed by the cooperation between the Syriac Orthodox Church and the government of Hungary through Hungary Helps.
