On November 26, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II conducted the service of the Installation of His Eminence Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, at St. Jacob of Seroug in Bauchrieh.
The service included a procession where three archbishops escorted the new Archbishop among the people. Then the sustatikon, or the commendation letter, was read proclaiming Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Archbishop of
Mount Lebanon and Tripoli. His Eminence delivered a message where he thanked the Lord for his new responsibility and asked for discernment and wisdom so he can lead the flock to holiness.
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Theophilus Georges Saliba, Patriarchal Advisor, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, Mor Anthimos Jacques Yacoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem, Jordan and the Holy Land, Mor Boutros Kassis, Archbishop of Aleppo and Environs, Mor Yacoub Babawi, Patriarchal Vicar for Monks Affairs and the Administration of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, Mor Cyril Babi, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, Mor Christophoros Markose, Patriarchal Secretary for the Affairs of the Church in India, Mor Andrawos Bahhi, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education, and Mor Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary, assisted His Holiness in the service.
Other officials and representatives of the churches also attended the service of the Installation.
