On April 17, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Eminence Mor Athanasius Geevarghese, Metropolitan of the Simhasana churches in South Kerala and Abbot of Mor Ignatius Monastery, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
His Eminence Archbishop Mor Christophoros Markose Abraham, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs, also attended the meeting.
During the visit, His Eminence reported to His Holiness on the current situation of Mor Ignatius Dayro and the church in India.
