AN APPEAL TO ALL SOCIAL MEDIAS & FOR THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC

Dear Faithful,

We are alarmed by the waves of discussions on different Social Media Forums about the accusations against Fr. Dileesh Alias on various levels. The North American Archdiocese and our Archbishop His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho strongly condemns his inappropriate actions. However, we also request the various social medias to stop the unwanted criticism against the North American Archdiocese with regards to this issue. The North American Archdiocese brought Fr. Dileesh to serve the parishes in the USA and also to help him, especially, when he was struggling financially to treat his wife who is suffering as an ill patient. He later returned to Kerala in May 2013 after completing his term here. He is currently serving his home diocese- Kandanadu- in India from 2013. After hearing about the accusations against Fr. Dileesh, just recently, our Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho contacted the Metropolitan of the Kandanadu Diocese in India – His Grace Mathews Mor Ivanios and requested immediate action and to make it public.

Various social medias and unknown personnel are simply trying spread the word that that Fr. Dileesh still belongs to the North American Archdiocese when he actually has been in India since May 2013 serving the Kandanadu Diocese. We think that there is some deliberate attempts from some persons to tarnish the name of the North American Archdiocese and its Clergy on this issue, by spreading the false news that Fr. Dileesh is still in America and that the church is protecting him.

Hence, we inform you that Fr Dileesh has not been here in the USA for the past few years. The North American Archdiocese condemns any such accusations or activities that Fr. Dileesh may have committed and that all social media forums and news publications STOP trying to drag the North American Archdiocese into this matter.

In His Name,

Archdiocesan Secretary
