On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, upon the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Syriac Orthodox Church, the Holy Synod of our Syriac Orthodox Church started its sessions at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
Their Eminences Archbishops of our Syriac archdioceses from all over the world are attending the Holy Synod.
The Holy Synod was inaugurated with the morning prayer (Safro) and the prayer of the tekso of Pentecost, where the fathers invoked the Holy Spirit to guide them in their meetings. His Holiness then presided over the Holy Synod which started with an opening session.
The Synod will be concluded on Saturday, June 10.
