On April 16, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended an Iftar offered by the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Aleppo and Environs on the occasion of Ramadan for the orphans of the Archdiocese and the children of the Islamic Orphanage in Aleppo at the Orphanage in Aleppo.
Their Excellencies Mr. Louay Imaduldin AlMunjid, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mr. Hussein Diab, Governor of Aleppo, the secretary of the Party in Aleppo Mr. Ahmad Mansour, and Mufti of Aleppo Sheikh Mahmoud Akkam, were also present.
The Iftar was also attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Boutros Kassis, Archbishop of Aleppo and Environs, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, and the priests of the Archdiocese.
