On September 15, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the Colloquium held by SOS Chretiens d’Orient in Paris in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its establishment.
His Holiness thanked the organizers and participants and spoke about the milestones achieved by the organization of SOS Chretiens d’Orient during the past ten years. He spoke about the courage and dedication of the volunteers who serve the needy in the Middle East, carrying the Christian mission throughout their ministry. He also pointed out the difficult situation in Syria where people are suffering from the harsh economic conditions as well as the sanctions imposed on them.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant.
