On April 16, 2023, on the occasion of the tenth commemoration of the abduction of two Archbishops Boulos Yaziji and Mor Gregorius Youhanna Ibrahim, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in a prayer meeting at Mor Aphrem Cathedral in Aleppo for their Eminences.
The prayer meeting was attended by bishops, priests and representatives of Christian churches in Aleppo as well as His Excellency Mufti Dr. Mahmoud Akkam.
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Boutros Kassis, Archbishop of Aleppo and Environs, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, were also present.
At the end of the prayer, a new book containing lectures and interviews of His Eminence Mor Gregorius Youhanna Ibrahim which are published for the first time, was distributed and Dr Assaad Al-Sahmarani, Mufti Akkam and Dr Michel Abs, General Secretary of MECC, delivered speeches about the book and its content.
