On September 26, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from the Association “My Wish is Light”, headed by Mrs. Siham Zouky, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon.
 
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
 
During the meeting, Mrs. Zouky gave an overview of the association and its charity work in Lebanon, especially helping in health care, education and other social care for the needy. His Holiness commended the work of the association and expressed his joy that they are offering a social ministry that supports the church’s teachings of love and care for all the needy.

On September 26, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Mother Superior Jeanette Abou Abdallah, from the Sisters of the Cross, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon.
 
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Atchaneh, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
 
During the meeting, Mother Abou Abdallah invited His Holiness to the inauguration of the renovated Church of Christ the King.

On September 25, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over a consultary meeting to discuss issues related to the unity of the Knanaya Archdiocese, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
 
The meeting was attended by their Eminences: Mor Theophilos George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Bekaa, Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Patriarchal Vicar and Director of the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk, Kurdistan and Environs, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar for the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Fr. Markose Abraham, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
 
His Holiness and their Eminences discussed the recent developments in the issues prevailing in the Knanaya Archdiocese in order to find the suitable actions to be taken for a smooth administration of the Archdiocese.

On September 25, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Holy Synod at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon.
 
Their Eminences, members of the General Secretariat: Mor Justinus Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa,
Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk, Kurdistan and Environs, and Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, participated in the meeting.
 
His Holiness opened the meeting with a prayer and then he discussed with their Eminences the different matters listed on the agenda. Reports of the Committee of the Church Constitution, Personal Statutes and the Church Councils, as well as the Liturgical Committee, were read and discussed.

On September 23, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation of Italian parliamentarians headed by MP Paolo Romani at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.

During the meeting, His Holiness welcomed the delegation and appreciated their positive attitude and support of the Syrian people who is winning the fight against terrorism and conspiracy. He emphasized the importance of this visit to observe the reality and learn firsthand what is happening in Syria and not from the western media which is often biased and not revealing the complete truth.

In turn, Mr. Romani expressed their joy to visit different cities and regions in Syria to transmit to their governments the truth of what is happening in Syria. He also spoke about their efforts to find a solution to the crisis, especially to the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people.

On September 23, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from the Committee of Syrian Women in Chile, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.

During the meeting, His Holiness welcomed the delegation headed by Mrs. Marlene Haddad, and gave them an overview of the different projects that the Patriarchate is implementing.

The delegation was interested to hear about the “Little Angel House” Orphanage and the ways that the Patriarchate is ministering to the families in need. Also, they were happy to learn about the various programs offered at Antioch Syrian University as well as the scholarship programs

The meeting was attended by His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar of the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director as well as Mr. Majid Nazha and Dr. Rakan Razzouk, President of Antioch Syrian University.

On September 22, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from the Interreligious Working Group for the Aid of the Population of Syria at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.
 
The delegation was headed by Rev. Fr. Stefan Igumnov from the Russian Orthodox Church. It is part of the Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations, which works under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, represented by Mr. Sergey Melnikov.
 
During the meeting, the members of the delegation spoke about the main role of Russia in fighting terrorism in Syria, and supporting the Syrian people during the years of crisis. They pointed out to the importance of opening the school that the working group contributed to its restoration as well as the round table that will take place to discuss the major points of improving the humanitarian help delivered to the Syrian people.
 
In turn, His Holiness welcomed the delegation and conveyed his fraternal greetings to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. He emphasized that this visit is a sign of the continuation of the Russian support to the Syrian people. He highlighted that the Russian support helped Syria fight terrorism. He expressed his gratitude to the Russian people and hoped that more Russian tourists will visit Syria to get to know its rich history and visit its famous religious and historical sites.
 
The meeting was attended by His Eminence Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Religious Education, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Rev. Monk Boutros Dakermajian.

On September 18, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in the Opening Session of the Forum of the Common Christian Heritage of the Holy Valley, organized by the Qannoubine League at the “House of Memory and Media” – Garden of the Patriarchs in Diman.
 
Their Beatitudes Patriarchs: Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Raii, Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan, Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, and John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East were present and delivered speeches at the opening session, as well as representatives of His Holiness Armenian Orthodox Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I, and Armenian Catholic Patriarch Gregory XX.
 
In his speech, His Holiness spoke about the historical presence of the Syriac Orthodox monks in the Holy Valley and the deep spiritual relationship that existed between the monastic traditions in the Holy Valley. He hoped that further cooperation can exist between the monks of different churches to enrich the spirituality of the Holy Valley.

On September 17, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II offered his condolences to His Brother in Christ His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Armenian Orthodox Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, on the passing away of his mother Late Lousine Keshishian, at the Summer Headquarters of the Catholicosate in Bikfaya – Lebanon.
 
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Gregorius Joseph, Metropolitan Trustee of the Syrian Jacobite Church in India, as well as Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Fr. Markose Abraham, Patriarchal Secretary for the Affairs of the Church in India.
 
His Holiness held there the special service for the departed (teshmeshto d-‘Anide) for the repose of the soul of the late Lousine.

On September 17, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from the National Lebanese Committee for Organ Donation and Transplant, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
 
The delegation was led by Dr. Antoine Estephan, Vice President of the Committee, Mrs. Farida Younan, General Coordinator of the Committee, and Mrs. Hayfa Sadeq, Director of the Awareness Program.
 
The delegation informed His Holiness about the programs and works of the committee. His Holiness expressed his views on organ donation as the great giving that a person can offer to other people after his death, enabling some to live and survive. He also commended the work of the committee and encouraged them to continue their efforts to raise awareness on organ donation and transplant.
 
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
